JOB SUMMARY:

Service Desk/Information Technology Specialist to work within our Network Operation Center (NOC) in support of the National Ground Intelligence Center (NGIC). The IT Specialist/NOC Technician will join our team in supporting the G2 Army MI Enterprise contract, which provides IT repair, maintenance, operations, logistics, and engineering services to help ensure secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of Army Military Intelligence Enterprise IT Systems comprised mostly of a Microsoft Enterprise software environment for the Charlottesville, Virginia location. This position is specifically part of the team to provide after-hours desktop support and Network Operations Center monitoring on a modified 16x7 schedule including 24 hour support on weekends and holidays (no day shifts Monday through Friday).

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Monitor large enterprise Network Operation Center networks and systems and respond to system events with Tier I support, elevating as needed to activate Tier II/III support actions.

*Provide Tier I contact and incident resolution to customers with hardware, software, and application problems.

*Provide resolution of incidents during the first call or at Tier I.

*Document incident status using incident management systems and database tools.

*Support data transfer activities across networks and classification levels (cross domain).

*Provide enterprise problem resolution using established SOPs and Run Books.

*Provide full emergency system power down following established procedures.


Qualifications:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

*High School diploma or GED with 3+ years of related experience in a Windows environment, call center, and/or service desk environment.

*Full working knowledge of computers, printers, laptops and common windows applications.

*Currently possess DoD 8570 certification at IAT level II, Security+ce or higher qualifying certification.

*Currently possess an active DoD TS/SCI security clearance.
