Description

Enrollment Project Specialist - responsible for providing support for the operations of the Office of Student Registration Services and processing of registrations from application to payment to ensure students are properly enrolled in their classes.

  • Register students in person, by telephone and by mail and provide students with college-wide information including assistance with internet registration.
  • Create and/or modify Registration and/or Student Affair documents for office and student wide use.
  • Design and develop reports which assess the effectiveness of registration activities.
  • Assist with creating test students for purposes of testing the student system and processes from IT.
  • Assist with the processing of medical appeals; cover letters, verification of student attendance with instructors in preparation for committee meetings.
  • Provide administrative support to the Enrollment Support Center with Dual Credit registrations during critical registration periods.
  • Assist students, community members and staff with their questions and concerns, both in person and over the telephone, regarding admissions, registration, residency, courses, class schedules, restrictions, prerequisites, financial aid, payment and refund policies and make proper referrals, if required.
  • Knowledge of SARS to register students for appointment sessions or events and update their record as required.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of College policy and student privacy policies according to FERPA by attending seminars and participate in departmental and College-wide committees.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED

EXPERIENCE: Two years of office experience with extensive public contact. Attention to detail and accuracy are required. Proficiency in written and spoken English. Extensive telephone and customer service skills. Need to adapt, change and learn new technology.

EDUCATION: Associates Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

PREFERRED

EXPERIENCE: Two years working in an educational environment with knowledge of Student Registration functions and processes. Two years of office experience with extensive public contact. Attention to detail and accuracy are required. Proficiency in written and spoken English. Extensive telephone and customer service skills. Need to adapt, change and learn new technology.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Higher Education or Business Management.

PC, Laptop, calculator, Imaging software, multi-line telephone, fax machine, copier and printer.

Hours for this position are:

Monday thru Thursday, 10am to 4pm & Fridays 10am to 3pm
