    Summary This position provides a broad range of comprehensive behavioral health services within the guidelines established by the agency and Medicaid. These services will include assessing a client’s clinical needs and delivering behavioral health services. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Completes a comprehensive behavioral health assessment to determine the client’s current functioning level, strengths and abilities. Collaborates with the client to develop an individualized treatment plan and provide treatment services. Maintains a therapeutic alliance with clients through appropriate treatment services and/or programs. Provides education and support in relation to mental health and/or substance use concerns. Assesses, identifies and responds to emergency or crisis needs of clients. Provides family, individual, and group counseling or facilitation, as needed. Completes accurately and in a timely manner all necessary forms, case notes, reports, and data collection as required by program guidelines and contractual obligations. Activity participates in multi-disciplinary treatment team meetings, regular supervisory and team meetings. Develops and maintains appropriate relationships with external social service, mental health and treatment providers. Qualifications Master’s degree in counseling and guidance, rehabilitation counseling, social work, psychology, family therapy or related field. Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or LCSW or LCPC preferred.  Bilingual fluency in Spanish/English required   Have successfully completed a practicum or internship that included a minimum of 1,000 hours of supervised direct service in a mental health setting, or who has one year of clinical experience under the supervision of a QMHP.   Ability to obtain license and/ or CADC certification within the first two years in the field Familiarity with data collection processes and tools, preferably GPRA Knowledge of Rule 132 documentation and billing protocols and DASA regulations; Knowledge of the federal drug and alcohol confidentiality law (42 C.F.R. Part 2) and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. Knowledge of the signs and symptoms of substance use including pharmacological factors. Knowledge of the current ASAM placement criteria and the DSM-V as it relates to substance-related disorders or able to acquire the knowledge. Possess excellent organizational and critical thinking skills. Knowledge of computers, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the Internet.  Ability to work flexible hours and travel as needed (evening/weekend hours).  Ability to work with a diverse population.  Must be available to attend meetings and meet the needs of the program and/or clients throughout the city, counties or wherever needed (a reliable car, insurance and valid driver’s license are required for the job). Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the functions of this job.  The employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects or controls and to reach with hands and arms.
