Local Jacksonville Chapter First Charitable Act

The NAPW Jacksonville Chapter is sponsoring two young women  for the holidays this year through the Community PedsCare, a hospice program for children with life-threatening conditions.

 We are collecting items for:

Jessica, a 19-year-old who is the sibling of a child in the program

Her wish list includes gift cards to clothing stores, jewelry (not silver) and anything for hair and nails – these items will help her with finding a job and her overall self-esteem.

Elizabeth, a 18-year-old who is suffering from Cystic Fibrosis - Her wish list includes 2012 Day Planner w/pockets, jewelry kits, big puzzles with lots of pieces, movies and games.

If we all work together we can collect enough items for these two young women to make their holiday very special.   So, please bring at least one item either noted on their wish list or feel free to bring something else that they may enjoy to the next chapter meeting on Monday, December 12th.    If it is easier to donate money or gift cards – that is fine too – we can use it to purchase whatever items may still need to be bought to complete their list.

Shana Herrin will them take the collected items and create gift baskets for the girls and send them to Community PedsCare to have them delivered to the families.   If you have any questions, please contact Shana at 625-6131 / sherrin@stellar.net.
