My name is Kathy J. Kolich and I am an attorney and CPA in Ohio. I recently retired from FirstEnergy Corp., one of the largest energy companies in the country, after 26 years in both management and in its in house legal department. My skills and areas of expertise involve corporate law and corporate litigation, with an emphasis in state utility regulation, energy efficiency, regulatory pricing, renewable energy technologies and smart grid/smart meter technology. I recently resurrected my energy consulting practice and my private law practice, where I am President and CEO at K2 Energy Advisors, LLC and the law office of Kathy J. Kolich. I received both my undergraduate (B.S., Accounting, summa cum laude) and law degrees from The Ohio State University. I am currently involved with the Ohio and Pennsylvania Bar Associations, and the alumni organizations for both The Ohio State University and the OSU Marching Band. I currently serve on the boards of The Halo Foundation and the Buckeye State Bank. My hobbies and interests include travel, music, exercise, boating, hiking and the outdoors. This fall I will be sending my only son to The Ohio State University where he will be starting his freshman year.
