About Cathy

Cathy Warn earned her bachelor degree in biblical studies in 2000 and her master degree in clinical counseling in 2004. She holds South Carolina state credentials as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPCS), as well as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy Supervisor (LMFTS). Cathy’s office is located on the campus of Columbia International University, College of Counseling. Her office offers a warm and comfortable environment with secure, confidential on campus parking near the Fitness Center. In addition to her private practice, Cathy also is a Resident Faculty Member and the Director of Training and Internship for the College of Counseling, Graduate Division, at Columbia International University. She has practice experience in grief and loss, parenting support, child, adolescent and young adult issues, aging and caregiver issues, relationship concerns, personal growth and spiritual development, divorce recovery, pre-marital, marital, and family therapy. Cathy is a clinical member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC); American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA); and American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT). She also holds membership in two National College Scholarship Honor Societies, Alpha Chi and Psi Chi. Cathy has presented at Alpha Chi’s national and regional conventions. Her practice style is a client-directed, outcome-informed, solution-building approach that considers the whole person (physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual) and their unique response to therapy. During clients' initial visit, they can expect a hope-filled, safe environment in which to share their stories, express their needs and desires, and identify goals they would like to achieve. In addition, Cathy also offers clinical professional services to other clinicians who seek supervision, consultation, and/or coaching. These services are offered within the same client-directed supportive environment, with a focus on successful goal achievement, as well as personal and professional growth and development. Cathy is available for speaking engagements and trainings.
