My name is Jennifer Riis-Poulsen and I am the Founder and CEO of Powerhouse Self-Defense for Ladies. I was born and raised in London, England, have lived in Copenhagen and Paris and I moved to the USA in 2004. I have a Bachelor of Science (Honors) Degree in Psychology and am a 2nd Degree Black Belt and Certified Chief Instructor and Examiner. I am currently involved with the British American Business Group. My hobbies and interests include traveling, foreign languages,cooking ethnic foods (and eating them), antiquing, writing, theater, to name just a few.

Powerhouse Self-Defense for Ladies is committed to bringing its Program to ALL ladies in order to teach them how to protect themselves against sexual assault. Its Main Mission is to bring the Program onto College Campuses, thereby making Campuses safer. Powerhouse Self-Defense for Ladies donates part of its profits to SAFER (Students Active For Ending Rape). SAFER is a national non-profit organization that works with college students to improve how their schools prevent and respond to rape and sexual assault on campus.
