Bachelors of Fines Arts, Cleveland Institute of Art Biomedical Art
My name is Jessie San. I am a recent graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Art with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Biomedical Art. My area of expertise includes 3D modeling (Max, FreeForm, ZBrush, etc.), biomedical illustration/animation, surgical illustration, and medical software design. My primary focus at the current moment is Craniofacial Prosthetic using a digital approach to creating custom implants for patients suffering from cancer and/or trauma. Some of my favorite pass time includes painting, reading, and gardening. I have a passion for literature and currently learning my fifth language. I enjoy meeting different people and learning about their culture and way of life.
I am currently the leading digital prosthetic designer at Osteosymbionics. We specialize in custom craniofacial implant, utilizing the patients’ own CT data to create an implant that provide functional and cosmetic outcome. I also work in conjunction with the Marketing department to create medical illustrations and animations for both patients and physicians. In addition to designing implants, I work with biomedical engineers in the Research and Development department on innovative ideas and new product design.
