My name is Beth Balen and I have established a private bookkeeping business for small clients after spending over 16 years managing orthopaedic surgery practices and nearly 25 years in the healthcare field. With my background, I bring a variety of expertise to my new business, including extensive experience in financial management. For the past 4 years I have been solely responsible for all bookkeeping duties for a $2 million/year physician office, including accounts payable, payroll, and financial reporting. In a prior business I was responsible for the the oversight of these functions. Throughout my healthcare career I have gravitated more and more toward the accounting side of my practice, and finally decided this was what I wanted to do as a business. I literally live in Excel and Quickbooks during my business day, and truly enjoy the number crunching and meticulous attention to detail. I would like to focus on small clients who cannot afford to hire a bookkeeper, but could truly benefit from professional tracking of income and expenses, with informational financial reports provided each month. I feel that accurate tracking of finances is crucial to business success, and would like to help others enjoy that benefit.
