My name is Judith M. Lilavois. I received my undergraduate degree in Healthcare Administration and my MBA in Executive Management from St. John's University. My professional title is Manager, Operations Support at new York Presbyterian Hospital. I have been in the healthcare industry for over 20 years with more than 10 years experience in healthcare management. At the beginning of my career I had the opportunity to coordinate the strategic relocation of patient floors from an existing hospital to a new hospital building.
I was involved from design to implementation which gave me a taste for operations and the excitement of being in the middle of the action. Operations became the focus of my career.
I am involved in the daily activities of supply chain management and support services for all inpatient hospital areas in Medicine, Maternal Child Health and Critical Care. As an operations manager I often wear many hats to get the job done. I have been involved in implementation of cost containment programs, managing budgets, implementing quality compliance programs, leading Technology Integration committees and handling any issue involved with having supplies & equipment available for the patients. At the end of the day it is all about the patient. Ensuring that they have a positive experience and that all the resources are made available for their treatment.
I am currently pursuing Board Certification for Fellowship of the American College of Healthcare Executives. I am actively involved in the New York Chapter (HLNY) and currently Chair of the Membership Committee. Being a member of these organizations gives me both the opportunity to learn from and to network with many amazing experts in the healthcare industry.
