My name is Robin Mattocks. My skills and areas of expertise consistent with my degree include assessment and testing. I am a seasoned Human Resources Manager having supervised and trained staff involved in employee relations, performance management, progressive discipline, recruitment, hiring, job classification, compensation, grievance resolution, discrimination complaint investigation and resolution, union/management salary and benefits negotiations, training and employee development and the full range of human resource functions.
My professional title is HR Manager, most recently retired from the County of Orange, California. I earned my Bachelors in Psychology from California State University - Fullerton while working full-time.
I have worked directly with both elected and appointed officials involved in most County functions such as Health Care, Social Services, Sheriff, District Attorney, Public Defender, County Counsel, Waste Management, Planning, Purchasing, Libraries, Transportation, Road, Flood Control and Building Maintenance, Auditor, Assessor, Tax Collector, Information Technology, and ancillary functions. I was also specially selected to assist several temporary tangential agencies during their establishment while I was employed with County of Orange including the OC Fire Authority and the OC Public Authority.
Since retiring from public employment, I am working as an actor, singer, and dancer with www.Actoutmystery.com dinner theater and with www.sccsingers.com (South Coast Chorale) in musical theater. I am Co-Chair of Marketing for SCC and a member of the Board of Directors. I love singing in my spiritual community as well.
My hobbies and interests are eclectic and include travel, dancing, acting, hiking, singing, music, neurofitness training, reading and enjoying this wonderful life. I also plan on writing a few novels and an autobiography. I am drawn to and passionate about charitable organizations such as those assisting children, the homeless and victims of domestic violence.
