My name is Shelly Fisher and I am the Pres. & CEO for Hope Paige Medical. I have lead companies for over 25 years. always loving the challenge in doing something to make life better for others. My company's principal focus is the design, manufacturing and sales of Medical and Non-Medical Identification Bracelets. We supply approximately 5000 pharmacies nationally as well as online with Walmart, Amazon, Walgreens and Target. The company was founded in 2003 to raise awareness of various diseases using fashionable accessories. I quickly realized there was a need for medical identification products that were both effective and attractive, after being approached by a mother of a child with diabetes. She explained her daughter was starting to drive and would not wear any of the plain chains on the market. WIthout a bracelet, someone might think she had been drinking instead of the real reason, a change in blood sugar. I agreed to make them if her daughter would help in the design and then actually wear it. That starting line of 4 products for insulin diabetes has now grown to over 150 SKU’s for all people who want an identification bracelet.
Our long term mission is two- fold: To create bracelets that people actually want to wear while not feeling branded by their disease and ultimately create universal identification styles for all. These items would allow an athlete without a medical condition and someone with a medical condition to wear the same identifier, eliminating the embarrassment many feel who need to wear these bracelets for life saving reasons. We are launching a new text response product called TextID® which we feel will be the first step in achieving that goal.
