My name is Gloria U. Trierweiler. After my Eight years in the US Navy was finished, I settled in Los Angeles. I attended UCLA; my area of study was Legal Assistant. I Volunteered at The Los Angele's Public Defender Office for two Years before I was hired as a Paralegal.
After working in arraignment court and smaller criminal cases I was promoted to Senior Paralegal. I worked on all kinds of criminal cases, finally specializing in death penalty and sentencing. I was promoted to Supervising Paralegal and supervised the Paralegal team in Central Unit of Los Angeles. I worked in that capacity for twelve years before I was called back to Iowa due to family illness.
I came to Dupaco Community Credit Union as a collector in 2001. One of three teams. After being successful in managing collection accounts I was promoted to my current position as Vice President of Member Solutions. Our team here has grown to ten members.
To be named Vice President of Member Solutions has given me a great sense of accomplishment. Being able to make suggestions and apply ideas that make the team better is greatly rewarding. Throughout my career I have learned that being a successful woman in you r field of choice, whatever that may be, is definitely something to be proud of.
I joined the National Association of Professional Women because I felt it would be beneficial for me to network with other businesses and professional women in general who could benefit from the expertise we offer each other as members. I am currently involved with the Huntington Disease foundation, American Collection Association (ACA) and CUNA. Some of my hobbies and special interests include spending time with my family, trying to stay up to date with current electronics, Astrology and reading.
