My name is Meenakshi Singh. My skills and areas of expertise include Aviation Planning, Urban Planning, Sustainability and Environmental Analysis. My professional title is Planning Manager at City of Cleveland, Department of Port Control, which manages Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, Burke Lakefront Airport and the Downtown Harbor Front. Hopkins International Airport serves as the gateway to 7 million passengers in Northeast Ohio and contributes annually 4.5 billion to the region's economy.

My career spans over 15 years in Architecture, Urban and Aviation Planning. I started my career designing Intelligent Buildings and High Security Embassy Complex, landscape design for High Active Urban Areas, and after visiting Schiphol Airport, Amsterdam, I was smitten by airports and now jet fuel runs in my blood! In my current role, I am in charge of ensuring that Cleveland Hopkins International Airport is a safe, secure and financially competitive airport in the country. This responsibility includes designing safe and efficient airfield, runway and taxiway system; comfortable and convenient terminal facility and ensuring that Cleveland Hopkins is a great place to land. I am also involved in master planning for the Burke Lakefront Airport and developing a sustainable plan for the Lake Erie water front area.

My educational background consists of, Masters of Regional and City Planning from the University Of Oklahoma and Bachelors of Architecture from M.I.T, India. I am currently serving on an oversight panel at the the National Academy of Sciences, Washington DC, for researching sustainable practices and exploring carbon trading for airports nationally. I am also an affiliate member of American Association of Airport Executives. My hobbies and interests include Running Marathons, Painting, Gardening, Reading & Traveling.

I am drawn to and passionate about charitable organizations such as Lymphoma & Leukemia Society and the Susan Komen Association for Breast Cancer Research. I run races to raise funds and contribute to charity organizations.
