Level 1 EMDR Certified Practitioner, EMDR Institute Trauma therapy
I am a health activist, a marriage and family therapist, a motivational speaker, and a two-time breast cancer survivor. I am keenly aware of the enormous challenges women (and men!) face when they learn they have breast cancer. As a psychotherapist I have a unique perspective on the emotional and relational challenges patients and their families face.
My mission is to fight the disease through education, encouragement, to give hope, knowledge and practical support to people whose lives have been affected by this disease.
I am the Founder of Stay in the Pink, a resource for women and men affected by breast cancer.
I am also one of the Founders and the current President of The Giving Ribbon, a group of survivors and caregivers that provides information, resources and emotional support to local families living with breast cancer.
I speak on an array of topics about mental health, spiritual growth, and breast cancer. Titles include, but are not limited to: “Losing Our Breasts, Finding Ourselves," “The Secrets of a Happy Marriage: Only the First 25 Years are Hard,” "Soul Survival," and “Finding Myself in a Psych Ward."
