My name is Pamela Kay Prater (Matlow). I currently live in Dayton, Ohio. I was born in Portland, Oregon and I am the middle child of a military (Air Force) family; I have an older sister (Debbie) and a younger brother (Paul). I have lived in Oregon, Alaska, Michigan, Idaho, and Ohio (twice: Columbus and Dayton). I have been with my wonderful husband, Terry, for over 15 years. Children include a son (Bill), a daughter (Jamie), and a stepdaughter (Wendy) along with their spouses (Kelly, Chris, and Jose, respectively). We recently experienced the birth of grandchild number eight. The eight grandchildren consist of 5 granddaughters and 3 grandsons. I received an Associate in Business degree, 26 November 1986 from Miami Jacobs Junior College, Dayton, Ohio. My name is listed in the “Who’s Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges”, Volume 1987, page 221. I also accomplished a Bachelor of Science in Business/E-Business degree, 31 December 2004 from the University of Phoenix, Graduated with Honors. I accomplished both degrees while working full time and raising a family.
I worked as a contractor for the Air Force (AF) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio for over 22 years for such programs as the Advanced Cruise Missile (ACM), Global Hawk Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), and various Information Technology (IT) Technical Data programs. I was hired in a Program Manager Government Civilian position for the AF in March 2010. I completed all required courses for the Program Management (PM) Level I Certification prior to being accepted as an employee. I have since acquired my IT Level I Certification while also working to complete my PM Level II Certification by Srping 2012. I am the Configuration Manager for three IT programs and soon after being hired, I instituted an electronic workflow that accommodates each program’s individual requirements. This process ensures traceability for over 250 requirements from inception to deployment in a system’s release for the benefit of the warfigther. I manage all source code, documentation, and each configuration item for each of the three programs, as well as, documenting over ten milestone reviews for each program release. I recently received the Electronic Technical Information Management System/electronic Technical Order Viewer (ETIMS/eTOV) Team Award, plus numerous awards as a contractor over the past 23+ years for recognition of significant accomplishments in support of the warfighter.
