Rebecca Ritchey is a 2004 graduate of Juniata College in Pennsylvania and a 2009 graduate of Thomas Jefferson School of Law (TJSL), Magna Cum Laude, in San Diego. Ms. Ritchey earned many honors during her time at TJSL including Distinguished Honor Roll, CALI Award of Excellence, Witkin Award, and the Jeffersonian Medal in multiple subjects. Ms. Ritchey has gained valuable experience working with local veterans at the TJSL Veteran’s Clinic and as a law clerk at the Housing Opportunities Collaborative; as well as, volunteering with the IRS’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program.
Ms. Ritchey was admitted to the State Bar of California as a practicing attorney at the end of 2009 and is an admitted attorney in the District of Colombia Bar Association as of November 2010. She is a founding Partner at Scales of Justice, LLP, where she manages the family law division of the firm. Additionally, Ms. Ritchey has extended her pro bono service in practice by spending several hours a week dedicated to giving free consultations for local charities and underprivileged members of the community; as well as working with the San Diego County Bar Association’s Modest Means Program.
