My name is Mattie L. Lewis. My skills and areas of expertise include Teaching in the Elementary School System. My students were administered the Stanford 10 Test in December, which I know they did very well on. I have been the Grade Chair for First Grade and I am currently the Grade Chair for Kindergarten.
My professional title is Director/CEO of Frazier Hayes Foundation, LLC, which specializes in Educational Scholarships. I also have a non-profit organization (IRS 501 C-3), The Doris Frazier Hayes & Mattie Hayes Lewis Foundation, Inc., which specializes in scholarships for students attending an accredited university, college or graduate school. I received my Masters in Education Administration from Prairie View A & M University. I am currently a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., which affords me the opportunity to be involved with: The Pearl Foundation, Sigma Public Education & Research (SPEAR) Foundation, National Education Fund, Inc. (NEF), Wee Savers and Investors, Soles for Little Souls, Operation Big Book Bag, Hattie McDaniel Cancer Awareness, HIV/Aids Grant Project A34Life, Sigma Youth Symposium, Project Reassurance, Mwanamugimu Essay, Project Cradle Care, Breakfast with Santa, Community Health Fair, Step out Diabetes Walk and Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. I am the Philo Coordinator for the Gamma Phi Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. I am a member of The National Association of Professional Women.
My hobbies and interests include reading, traveling to different places, attending concerts, plays, the symphony, operas and socializing with family and friends. I am drawn to and passionate about charitable organizations and my church.
I joined the National Association of Professional Women because it is a great organization to be involved in that gives me a chance to network with professional women, which I enjoy doing. I know the NAPW will allow me to become engaged with other professionals that can provide insight on how to expand my business. The National Association of Professional Women opens the door to a whole new world that is ready to be challenged. The challenge of my company growing, networking and working with like professionals. I can benefit from the challenge that is being offered.
