Born and raised in Rhode Island, I moved to CT when I was a teenager. At that time I started to learn the magical world of culinary and the food service industry learning to cook standing on top of milk crates trying to reach the top of the grill at boarding school . My passion for creating and cooking was born. I attended Johnson and Wales, pursuing culinary as a career, and worked in the food service industry for years after. Being a single mom, I needed to find work hours more conducive to raise my son, so I entered the Banking world.
Once my son had started to get older, the yearning to return to the world of making & baking got the best of me. I partnered up with Laurie Bowen and we opened Centerville Pie Company. We are in our element – making pies, meeting people and serving home style food as well as creating jobs for the disabled. Today we own and operate the restaurant, our retail pie shop, production facility and handle national distribution of our now famous Chicken Pies. Following my dreams and passion has paid off.
