Barbara (Bonnie) Flaherty, began her career in employee benefits in 1989 as a partner in Financial Benefit Specialists. Her responsibilities included staff and client management as well as developing the 125 and Cobra administration. Bonnie merged FBS into The Grant Nelson Group (a national employee benefits company) in 1991 and assumed the title of Regional Manager for the Los Angeles office. In 1997 The Grant Nelson Group merged into CBIZ Benefits & Insurance Services. Bonnie was named Vice President of Client Services at CBIZ Benefits & Insurance Services, Inc. where she managed staff, clients, and administration. Bonnie was the key person responsible for executing any and all agreements and brought all clients to their final decisions.
In 2011 Bonnie established her own employee benefits consulting firm “One Benefit Source” and continues to work with small to mid-sized companies as well as individuals who seek her expertise in the health insurance industry.
Bonnie attended Marymount College. She is an active member of Los Angeles Association of Health, Underwriters, member of the broker advisory board at Kaiser and Anthem Blue Cross, and is supportive of many non-profit organizations in the greater Los Angeles area.
