About Dee Dee

My name is Dee Dee Sutherland. I am a wife and mother. I graduated form St. Norbert College with a Bachelor of Art Degree and continued on doing Graduate work at Minneapolis College of Art and design in Graphic Design and Advertising. I worked for many years as a Graphic Designer and Account Executive. I also worked as a facilitator with the Rainbow Group in both Chicago and in the New York areas. This group helps children whose parents are divorced or have died deal with these issues. As a child I experienced being bullied. My son was also bullied in school. As a result of this I have made it my mission to help children. Together with my friend we decided to write our book "There's Always A Bully" to help children learn to deal with bullies. I want to empower children to become confident in themselves. To help them understand that they hold their own power it is their voices. In addition to teach them the importance of being kind to others and accepting differences and respecting others. Using our book as the base I go into School Systems at the Elementary level as well as camps etc. and do Anti-Bully Presentations. I also do Bully Training Sessions for College camps etc. to prepare the instructors on recognizing and handling bullies. This has been very rewarding . I continue to move forward on this issue trying to educate and make others aware that we all need to jump on board and ride the positive wave to Stop Bullying. I am very happy to have joined the National Association of Professional Women and applaud all of you women on your great acheivements. I look forward to networking and taking advantage of alot that this Association has to offer so I can continue to build my business and reach as many people as I can. I am also continuing to write other books.
