My name is Julia Simens . I am the author of Emotional Resilience and the Expat Child : practical tips and storytelling techniques for the global family. I received my BA from Chaminade University and my area of study was Psychology and Education. I received a MA in Clinical Psychology from JFK University. I am an author, educator, consultant, and presenter with a focus on international relocation. This has kept me coming and going from the U.S.A. for over 20 years. I have worked on five continents with families who are relocating all over the world. With a focus on family therapy and early childhood education, my goal is to help children and families adjust to their global lifestyle. I work with many embassies, multi national companies, and youth groups. I am a professional member of the American Counseling Association and the National Association of Educational Consultants and Speakers. Parents look for guidance because I have survived seven international moves and has raised two children overseas. I offers parents in cyberspace on-going support. I am a frequent speaker at educational and business conferences and have been cited in various family publications. I often work in international schools where I offer children and parents individual sessions and the opportunity to grow. I conduct teacher and parent seminars.
