I’m a Cherokee Nation citizen and the Executive Director of the Cherokee Nation Foundation. The Foundation is a 501(c)3 incorporated under the Cherokee Nation. The mission is to provide higher educational opportunities to the Cherokee People and help revitalize the Cherokee language. Services range from producing Cherokee language lullaby CD’s to designing and producing textbooks in the Cherokee language. We are funded through private donations and oversee three higher education endowments.

In the spring of 2011 the Foundation established a $1Million dollar endowment at the University of Oklahoma. The Foundation was the first tribal organization to participate in the Pickens Legacy Match and will award the first round of scholarships this summer.


Provided 5 scholarships for Northeastern State University. The program will allow full time students to participate in the New Cherokee Promise program.
