Stephanie Amlung, PhD, RN is currently the Director of Clinical Research at Hill-Rom Co. She has over 30 years of clinical experience ranging from caring for critically ill neonates to adults. Dr. Amlung has taught pediatric, obstetric, and women’s health courses; nursing research and industry research methodology and standards; and graduate level statistics courses. She has directed multiple global clinical research studies that include: Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS), neonatal surfactant and thermoregulation, cardiovascular, obesity, wound healing, pulmonary, and infectious disease studies for federally funded grant work, pharmaceutical trials in Phases II through IV, as well as medical device economic and outcome studies. Throughout the years, Dr. Amlung has presented research results to numerous professional groups and has published a variety of clinical articles in peer reviewed journals and nursing textbooks.
Dr Amlung has recently been accepted into post doctoral studies in the Department of Management Science in the School of Business Administration at the University of Miami. The focus of study is to explore the application of meta-analysis in comparing clinical interventions to optimize patient safety. Stephanie has been married for over 25 years to a wonderful man and has two awesome sons (Jeff 24 & Joe 20). She lives in Mason, OH with her husband, Ron, and two Great Danes, Lizzie Rose & Willie.
