Shifts Happen! After being the co-pastor of New Life Ministries for more than seventeen years, Dr. Angela Stokes Manning is now the ministries’ senior pastor. She is teaching the saints how to manage the shifts at this house and in their everyday lives. Pastor Angela embraces the legacy of her husband, the late Bishop Manning, and is carrying out the vision that he set into motion “by picking up the momentum”. Dr. Manning is the founder and director of numerous ministries - the Women of Virtue Ministry, director of the Christian Counseling Ministry, Dean of New Life’s School of Ministry, founder of I am Woman Ministries, Inc. and Women of Purpose - a mentorship program where she mentors young women through the Word of God. Through her dynamic teaching and prophetic words, Christians have begun to rise up and know their purpose in God and to walk in their preordained destiny.
A native of Quitman, Georgia, Pastor Manning earned a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Bible, a Master of Arts in Religion, specializing in Christian Counseling, and a Doctor of Theological Studies, from Bethany Bible College and Seminary in Dothan, Alabama.
She is a 2001 recipient of the Women of Standard Award. Pastor Angela was married to the late Bishop Larry D. Manning, Sr. for thirty-one years. They were blessed with three children – Vashti, Darnella, and Larry Jr.; and six grandchildren – Abrien, Alaina, Shamarii, Aniyah, Alijah, and Aiden.
