About Cristi

My name is Cristi M. Payne and I am the Corporate Director of the Program Accountability and Support Division of Communuty Education Centers, Inc. I joined CEC in August 2008 and since said time, took on an additional role as the State Director of Texas. Prior to joining CEC, I worked for Cornell Companies, Inc., as the Corporate Director of Adult Community Based Marketing as well as the Corporate Director of Business Development. I began my career with Cornell as the Director of the Turning Point Program at the Southwestern Illinois Correctional Center in 2002. I have worked within the Criminal Justice Industry for more than 14 years, entering the field as a Substance Abuse Counselor at Illinois Youth Center in Murphysboro, Illinois, where I was responsible for the administration of the state's first fully dedicated Juvenile Criminal Justice Addictions Program. During my tenure at IYC-Murphysboro, I was recognized in the area of instructional expertise, and awarded recognition as an Illinois Department of Corrections Juvenile Training Instructor.
