I was blessed with a very rewarding nursing career and gained great satisfaction teaching and assisting others as they regained their health and returned to a more productive and satisfying lifestyle.

During my nursing career I primarily worked in the Intensive/Cardiac Care Unit. I eventually returned to school and obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Management/Supervision. Approximately two years later I assumed the position of Director ICU/CCU. I developed and taught a three week critical care course to nurses working in or wanting to work in a cardiac intensive care unit or cardiac step-down unit. We also accepted nurses from surrounding hospitals wanting to work in the Critical Care setting. I served as a CPR and ACLS instructor both at the local and state levels. Nanticoke was a small community hospital and I eventually moved into the OR and assumed the duties of Director of OR, Recovery Room and Same Day Surgery until retirement. After retirement I served as a relief Nursing Supervisor for approximately two and a half years.
