Garden City, NY (Vocus/PRWEB ) July 1, 2010 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) announced today the names of the recipients of the 2010 NAPW Rising Stars Education Scholarship Program, which recognizes the next generation of professional women and awards $1,000 scholarships to five college-age daughters of NAPW members.

NAPW established the NAPW Rising Stars Education Scholarship Program to recognize the scholastic and career ambitions of the next generation of professional women. The scholarship program rewards the outstanding efforts of daughters of NAPW’s Elite, Preferred or VIP members who possess strong academic records, participate in school and community activities, and who have gained work-related experience.
“In addition to promoting the success of women in today’s workforce, NAPW also encourages the success of the women of tomorrow’s workforce,” states Nicole Zeitzer-Johnson, NAPW’s Director of Communications. “The five young women chosen as recipients of the NAPW Rising Stars Education Scholarship not only showed outstanding academic accomplishments, but also presented inspiring and impressive aspirations for the future,” Zeitzer-Johsnon adds.
