Dallas has another successful meeting.

The meeting was called to order by Deadra Marsh-Foy, at 6:30pm who offered a welcome and inspiration.
Vicki Hook with Liberty Mutual Insurance facilitated the attendee introductions that included:
Michelle Castro with WFAA Media; Sarah Jones the designer for Status Design Studio; Kathy Mirek with CSG Systems, Inc.; Jamie Swartz a partner for Synergy Buzz and owner of Cowboy Cleaning; Sahar Seyedkalal a manager with Parkland; Wendy Carlson, a Forensic Document Examier of America’s Handwriting Expert; Tina Golden, CPA for Janik PC; Attorney Molly Richard with Richard Law Group; Robin Jackson the Operations Manager for Berry’s Quality Services, Inc.; Linda Roach a Financial Advisor with Blue Skye Advisors; Maureen Beavers the Director of Operations for Reach Media; and Tisa Salazar Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis at Goodman Networks, Inc.
After introductions, Vicki reminded members of the Rising Stars Scholarship for daughters of NAPW members. She also asked for announcements where Sarah Jones informed the ladies her designs are now being carried at the Pink Hanger in Colleyville.
Vicki also inquired of the group for the next social lunch meeting. It was decided April will be the month and the location will be The Egg & I Restaurant in Addison on 4/28/2010 from 11:30 – 1pm.
Deadra reiterated the chapter blog, DallasNAPW.wordpress.com and how members can get access by setting up an account with wordpress.com and sending her their email setup. Jamie Swartz also informed the ladies she has setup napwdallas.twitter.com and napwdallas.facebook.com for members to join.
Tisa Salazar gave a report from the Board of Directors and then introduced the Professional Knowledge Tip presenter for the night, Mary Wilson Keener. Ms. Keener offered some fun and interesting tips about 2009 tax preparation. Questions were asked about business setup options when considering tax filings.
Following the knowledge tip, Jamie Swartz introduced her business, Synergy Buzz. Jamie’s energetic approach to promoting branding and using the many forms of social media was well received.
Following the spotlight, the meeting was adjourned and attendees networked until 8pm.
