Garden City, NY (Vocus/PRWEB )  -- On February 23, 2010 the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) launched their Greater Philadelphia Chapter. Although an unexpected turn in the weather had less than anticipated people attending, the meeting turned out to be a great collaboration and synergy for those in attendance. Our host was Financial Advisor, Dana Zamrik of Morgan Stanley Smith Barney in Berwyn, PA. After enjoying light refreshments and networking, we welcomed our guest speaker, Denise Lantz, PHR, CHC and President & Founder of Attentive Health LLC. She presented “Women in Red: It’s Not Just About Heart Health” to the group, providing much need knowledge on women and heart disease as well as how to address the many factors, such as stress, that encompass this topic. After brief introductions of the attendees, the group brainstormed and shared their ideas for future meetings. “It was unanimous”, said Cheryl Lagunilla, “that we are looking beyond the “networking as usual” format by creating a collaborative environment that includes “think tanks” and sharing of best practices. We all felt that as women we have much to share with each other in our daily struggles and successes that can assist each other in some way.” We welcome other professional women to join us as we collaborate, network and share in our NAPW Greater Philadelphia chapter.
