The Stafford NAPW Local Chapter conducted a chapter meeting on December 17th, 2011. Sherlyn Powell, NAPW Stafford Local Chapter President, opened the networking meeting by welcoming the members and introducing new member Christine Fuller who recently joined the Stafford Local Chapter. She presented Christine with a gift from the NAPW. Loreia Johnson–Flemester, a guest in attendance, also joined the group and she handed Loreia a brochure about the NAPW.
Chapter member Sabrina Priest was appointed as the official Secretary for the Stafford Chapter.
“We are here to create connections both personally and professionally,” Sherlyn said before encouraging members to speak with one another about their lives and careers. Each member in attendance was given an opportunity to introduce themselves and their businesses.
At the meeting, new member Christine Fuller spoke of her current work in property management located in Arlington, Virginia. She currently lives in Woodbridge, Virginia with her husband and four children.
Loreia Johnson–Flemester is looking forward to the approval of her membership to become a member of the Stafford Chapter. She is a Budget Analyst and does contract work for the government.
Sabrina Priest is a work-at-home mom with her own business, Bellisima Baby Bags. Sherlyn Powell is an author with three books under her belt. She has written two romance novels and recently her personal memoir, A Gift Called Mother. She is also starting her own publishing company, Books My Way Publishing, LLC, to support other authors in publishing their writings. She has worked many types of jobs but finds writing along with public speaking to be her passion. For the 2012 membership year, the Stafford Chapter will meet on the third Saturday of each month at 4pm beginning on Saturday, January 21st, 2012.
