I am a strong advocate of supporting women and have dedicated specific pages on one of my web sites to highlight amazing women in business and key organizations and resources that support women worldwide. I have over 10 years experience in management and was also the owner of a residential cleaning service for 8 years.I am also a volunteer for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. I am the author of "The Midlife Woman; Reinventing Yourself in your Second Adulthood", Amazon's Small Business Made Simple series (http://www.smallbizmadesimple.com/Lori/default.htm ) written for women by a woman who has successfully reinvented herself and her career in midlife and "God’s Funny That Way", (http://www.aneurysmsurvivor.com ), an inspirational, true story about one woman’s life- altering journey from surviving a ruptured brain aneurysm, to the realization that through God’s ever present love and nurturing, anything is possible. In an effort to help those less fortunate who have also suffered this devastating trauma, I am donating a portion of the proceeds from this book to The Brain Aneurysm Foundation. I am currently working on my next manuscript with the working title, "Take Me Back"; (http://www.consetta-creative-publicity.com/take_me_back.htm )a nostalgic piece on childhood memories. I have been interviewed on various issues relating to women in midlife by The Weekend Today Show, First Wives World and Good Housekeeping magazine. I have also been quoted in assorted editorials on internet marketing and publicity by Microsoft Office Live, Business Development Crossing, Divorce360.com and More.com to name a few. I have a wonderful daughter who is currently pursuing a college degree in Nursing and I am also in a loving and supportive relationship with my boyfriend.
My goal personally and professionally is speak inspirationally to women in groups large and small, sharing what I have overcome and conquered in my adulthood. Having survived a devastating trauma which shifted my priorities and life patterns, I have much to give to women of all ages. The title of my speech is “Standing Still Long Enough to Move Forward.”
