First, a big thank you for reading this!
Lois, Wendy and I want to share an exciting opportunity with you! We are offering 72 hours for you to focus on YOU! This is a tremendous gift of time: to reflect, open your heart, move your body, revel in the beauty surrounding you, connect with other women and to share. Contemplating an entire weekend in the Pacific Northwest, in the midst of summer’s heat sounds sublime, doesn’t it?
You are invited to spend a weekend immersed in the natural beauty of the Hollyhock Retreat Center on Cortes Island in British Columbia, Canada from October 20-23, 2016. Discover and develop your new WHO, your next identity, in a conscious, intentional way. Our team of Energy Leadership Coaches will guide you through a process that concentrates on your being and works directly to raise your consciousness by: assessing your attitudes and energy, introducing you to the 7 levels of energy, breaking through internal blocks, making conscious choices based on the present, not the past and helping you to refine your ideal image of WHO you are!
This is your chance! Life is marked by transitions. Chapters of our lives begin and end, like it or not. These times of change challenge our sense of self, leaving us wondering who we are, disrupting our notion that our identities are “fixed” entities. The changes can shut us down or open us up to the opportunity for intentional and authentic being. So, just do it! If you register before August 8, 2016 you can take advantage of the early registration discount.

I recently joined NAPW and I am having a wonderful time exploring the website. So exciting! My company is called iiGi (It Is God's Idea) and I published my first book April 2013. This is an uplifting and inspiring 25-poems poetry book. Once you begin reading you will not put it down until you have completed it. This is not just a one-read book; but one you will find yourself picking up over and over again. My favorite "The Dress", compares my virtues to some of the women in the Bible like Esther, Deborah, Ruth, Eve and others. Then again I love "Idle Words", "I Love It When...", and "Delayed Time". I would love to know your favorite. My web address is www.iigi4me.com or you can reach me by email firstname.lastname@example.org.

Hello Everyone. I'm a new member to NAPW, and hoping I'm not too out of line asking for help. My non-profit organization, St. John's Community Services (SJCS) is hosting our annual Grapes of Gratitude Wine Tasting Benefit on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at the Pepco Edison Gallery in Washington DC from 5:30 PM - 8:30- PM. For those of you who may not be familiar with SJCS, we are one of the oldest non profits founded in Washington DC, and this annual benefit is to raise awareness and continued funding for our nationally recognized innovative programs and services which support children and adults with intellectual, developmental and physical disabilities, as well as other individuals seeking meaningful lives by removing barriers to employment, housing, social and recreational opportunities in DC and Northern VA. The dollars raised by this event helps cover needed expenses unmet by federal and state funding for our two state offices. This can include specialized equipment, recreational opportunities and clothing. Funds raised will continue to ensure that the people supported by SJCS can live comfortably and safely in their chosen communities, and participate in activities that enhance their quality of life.
The benefit will have sommeliers presenting 16 wines from around the world, a tasting menu, an exhibit of original artworks donated and for bid/sale by artists from our ART Options programs, and a silent auction of merchandise, services and entertainment donated by local businesses and individuals. I'm in search of sponsors for our event for both the event and items for our silent auction. If any of you would be interested in helping this great organization I would love to set up and appointment to come meet you personally to show you what I can do for you as a sponsor and donor to our event. Right now our event website is under construction, but please contact me directly at 202-274-2448 to set-up a one-on-one with me. Our main website is www.sjcs.org. Remember, charity starts on a local level, and what better way to support the Washington DC and Northern VA communities. Please call me ASAP.

Looking for an inspirational summer read? Leaving Shangrila: The True Story of a Girl, Her Transformation and Her Eventual Escape is a story of how a young girl finds the strength to do what she must, and the consequences she needs to accept in order carry out her choices.
Most importantly, this memoir is about escaping physical and emotional captivity. Isabelle uses her power of duplicity to break her shackles. In doing so, however, she faces the consequential realization that one will always be in some sort of prison, even after they find the freedom they are looking for.
Leaving Shangrila is an inspirational story of finding yourself and the traits you need in order to do so. For more info, check out www.isabellegecilsauthor.com
