Hi Ladies, I recently joined a few days ago and I am looking forward to meeting and networking with you all. I am the Executive Director and Founder of Cruising with Autism, Inc., a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide travel opportunities to children, teenagers and adults on the autism spectrum and to provide monthly informational sessions to our families who are caring with a loved one with autism. We are a national 501(c)(3) organization, we started about 18 months ago. I am in the process of scheduling our monthly informational sessions for 2016 and am looking for professionals that can volunteer and provide brief presentations to our families. In general, I am interested in the following topics, but not limited to: Nutrition, Special Needs Guardianships, Financial Planning, Recreational Activities, Health Care, Alternative Medicine, Yoga, Tai Kwon Do, etc. These presentations are usually held on a Saturday morning (normally 10:30 am) and we invite all family members, especially the individual on the autism spectrum since we advocate for their inclusion in our communities. Please feel free to visit our website and share our information with anyone that you feel will be interested: www.cruisingwithautism.org. Thank you and hope to meet you all soon!

Nicole Bowen Hi Ladies, I am the Program Director in Jacksonville for the Nation wide program Christmas International House (http://2013-cih.azurewebsites.net/Default.asp.) I am writing to you because I believe you all are a great group of ladies I wanted to offer you the opportunity to be a part of this outstanding program. It would provide you with National recognition in a variety of areas such as serving your local community, State wide, Nationwide, and Internationally. I will just give you brief information to look over for now, so that you are not overwhelmed, but I have all of the answers to questions that you may have. In general, I am looking for host families that you know of within your church, neighborhoods, communities, etc. that would open their hearts and homes to International students that study at U.S. Universities between the times of 12/18/15 - 1/2/16. These are for students who cannot afford to go home (China, Japan, Taiwan, etc.) while their dorms close for the Christmas Holidays. It is a time for the host families and students to exchange traditions. Many of the students have never seen an American Christmas before and would love to stay with an American family to enjoy this time. It is an outstanding program. My program from last year was the only one to get pictures posted in the Nationwide Newsletter. It is special and means a lot to the students, the Universities, the families, the host countries, and AMIS, Inc., as well as, myself. I hosted 5 students last year. It was great. I have plenty of information to attach, but I will wait to hear back from you. Registration is open and I already have 2 students on my wait list. If you have any questions, please let me know. I really hope you chose to be apart of this! Some things you all could offer is helping to find host families, hosting students if you wish, (these 1st 2 are most important) providing transportation, assisting in fund-raising if you wish, assisting with program director responsibilities, volunteering for events, helping to plan events, etc. I would love to hear your input. Thank you so much, Nicole - See more at: http://www.napw.com/chapters/jacksonville-fl-chapter#sthash.8Zh8Duy0.dpuf
