    TECHNICAL INSTR/COURSE DEVELOP
    The Technical Instructor/Course Developer is primarily responsible for curriculum revision and maintenance. Technical curriculum may involve electronics or more highly technical areas such as radios, electronics, and operation of weapons systems. Maintenance involves system checks and services, cable repair, soldering, and electronics repairs. This instructor uses a computer to organize and draft a curriculum that breaks a complex subject into blocks or units of instruction, creates graphics, and integrates them into curriculum. Courses may be instructor-based, computer-based, simulator-based, interactive, or non-interactive. This instructor also teaches short technical courses in accordance with approved curriculum to maintain proficiency and to evaluate and develop new instructional techniques/courses. Job Duties Include: Incorporation of new curriculum in the teaching process (e.g., develops clarification or examples of application related to the subject matter). Development and maintenance of classroom techniques that reflect professionalism and good discipline and enhance teaching, development of alternative teaching techniques and scenarios to maintain high motivation and interest in the subject areas, and while acting as the testing officer. Conducting of test analysis and development or revision of test items. The Technical Instructor/ Course Developer will attend the HITS NET and SAAB Training to be certified as an Operator. Essential Job Functions: Responsible for the management, coordination, scheduling, operations, maintenance, and overall activities of various separate and unique teams: Armor, Infantry, Fire Support, Army Aviation, Brigade Operations, Engineering, and Logistics (TAF) teams. Responsibilities include identifying training requirements, implementing ISO requirements, new equipment/technology training, maintenance and updating of TAF certification program(s), proponent of internal after action review, TAD synchronization, and all contractual obligations. Provides management, training, and scheduling of quality control/instrumentation checks supporting HITS installation/de-installation processes. Provides detailed instructions to units of how the system works and daily checks to be conducted on the system during mission support. Manages, coordinates, and schedules with Army technicians providing training support to include observation and analysis in real-time and from stored exercise data, as well as data transmission events to include: providing battlefield situational awareness, training packets containing hard and electronic media copy, and audio/video, including archiving of pertinent graphical, video, and voice data for the TAF teams. Manages, coordinates, plans and implements training scenarios to include: print and electronic video interview products; development and implementation of safety control measures; budgetary controls; role-playing scenarios; and vehicle, weapons, equipment maintenance, repair, and service. Conducts training courses, both on-site and on-line, for the company's applications and systems to include lectures and hands-on sessions. Researches and assists in writing technical and user manuals to support training. Gathers, reviews, and analyzes course evaluations to determine effectiveness of training sessions. Prepares recommendations and reports to senior-level personnel and/or management. Implements approved revisions to course materials, as necessary, to improve training effectiveness. Works with senior-level personnel and business units/technical areas to conduct needs assessments to ensure training needs are met. Required Skills: A minimum of 2 years of instructor experience within the past 5 years. Experience and knowledge of all aspects of how soldiers train in a combat-arms environment. Experience in military tactical doctrine at the company, battalion, and brigade level. Experience as an Observer Controller (OC) and with Terminal Aerodrome Forecasts (TAF) analyst (military or civilian). Experience with or ability to learn UNIX-based computer system to create, consolidate, edit, print, and present RGB products for the OC team and unit Take Home Package (THP). Must be proficient in computer software, i.e. Microsoft Office suite of tools including Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must have strong communication skills (verbal and written). Presentation skills to train and educate students/employees on technical material and applications. Interpersonal skills for interacting with all levels of students/employees. Comprehension skills for understanding products and applying knowledge to presentation. Organization and time management skills . Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. Must be able to work non-standard workweeks, any shift, weekends, holidays, and overtime. Must have a valid state driver’s license and maintain post driving privileges. Must be able to operate Company-owned vehicles during duty hours and for business purposes only when assigned by a member of the management team. Required Physical Abilities: Ability to lift a maximum of 40 lbs and wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Must be able to stand, walk, sit, use climb stairs; balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; taste or smell. Must be able to work non-standard workweeks, any shift, weekends, holidays, and overtime. Must have a valid state driver’s license and maintain post driving privileges. Must be able to operate Company-owned vehicles during duty hours and for business purposes only when assigned by a member of the management team. Special Requirements: Will be required to work in compliance with OSHA and Raytheon safety policies and procedures, as appropriate. Will be required to travel per direction of Raytheon Team Leadership in order to provide support or work at a different location for periods of times.
