2015 Call for Speakers

Applications for speakers will be accepted from Saturday, November 1st until Saturday, December 6th. The Call for Speakers allows us to build the chapter you desire. Share with us topics you wish to hear discussed or which speakers you think would be a great addition to our 2015 engagement.  You can submit the following:

Speakers: You want to speak, or you want to submit someone else you think would be a great speaker.

A fully-incubated program: You have a complete session idea you would like to present, complete with co-speakers (if a panel), takeaways for the audience, etc…

A wish-list for content: You know you would like to hear more about ____ this year however you would like us to figure out the details.

If you are submitting a speaker, we are looking for local NAPW women who are budding and accomplished speakers and instructors (for panels, workshops, and presentations) who also represent the rich diversity of the entrepreneurship or corporate America.

Speakers and instructors with relevant experience on the topic they have been suggested for and that does not necessarily mean prior speaking experience.

If you are submitting a topic or session, your idea should fit into one of these session styles:

Presentation: A speaker shares ideas and insights with the audience in a TED/Ignite-style session (think lots of slides, less Q&A -- usually 15-30 minutes)

Workshop: Includes hands-on learning (usually 30-45 minutes)

Panel discussion: A group of people (preferably 2-5, possibly to include a moderator) presenting a subject, talking through key points and differing perspectives to give the audience a well-rounded view of the subject (usually 45-90 minutes)

Topics we are particular interested in are as follows:

·       ~  Becoming An Author

·       ~ Blogging

·       ~  Entrepreneurism

·      ~ Health & Wellness

·       ~  Marketing & Monetization

·       ~  Online Community Management

·        ~ Parenting & Family Management

·        ~ Passions & Interests

·        ~ Personal Identity & Brand Identity

·        ~ Podcasting

·        ~ Social Good & Activism

·        ~ Social Media Management

·        ~ Social Platforms & Tools

·        ~ Style & Beauty

·        ~ Technology & Gadgets

·        ~ Video

·        ~ Women In Corporate America

·        ~ Women In Entrepreneurship

·       ~  Writing Craft & the Publishing Industry

Once the Call for Speakers closes on Saturday, December 6th, we will take the great ideas you shared with us and use them to help create our excellent dialogue for 2015. We will not be able to use every idea however we will let you know by February 1st if your idea is selected. Remember be creative, be imaginative, be original and be great!
