Welcome to the NAPW's Metro-East Local Chapter Page

NAPW Metro-East Chapter [National Association of Professional ­­­­­­Women] is local in your neighborhood. The name was changed from Belleville Chapter to Metro-East to better reflect our extended community. We are part of a bi-state community as we are very near St. Louis and welcome you to join in our growth and sharing.

We are taking a summer hiatus but the Chapter Page will continue to share news and encouragement. Please take a moment and see where NAPW fits with you and your life and goals...

We offer connection, community and fun in an environment to grow, share and care together. Consider us a 'net' or 'safe haven' to try more, do more and be more. We are open to all professional women and you are always welcome to sample two meet-ups before deciding if you want to join NAPW. 

We'll meet at the end of summer to get together and enjoy the cooler temperature, the season and time for sharing. We are open to ideas for a reunion for some and union for others. We'll plan a speakers schedule, develop Board and Committee positions, find some exciting venues and decide how we want to spend our time and energy. 

We've had some wonderful programs and speakers. Topics have included wellness, financially savvy activities and laughter yoga that demonstrated to us tangibly how good laughing is for us. The theme has been 'nourishment' in its fullest measure--how we nourish our bodies, lives, thoughts and actions. 

I continue to champion my mother's quest to be off the machines that have been parat of her life since her accident last year. She is 84 and we are going to Springfield June 12th to Kindred Hospital to see if this can be accomplished. I invite you to get to know more about her remarkable life by googling or going to facebook '90-pound heavyweight'. I continue to do more public speaking and sharing. The last talk was at Our Lady of the Snows Shrine.  I invite you to learn more about her unstoppable spirit--literally broke just about every bone at age 83 and healed them in just over 3 months and although on a ventilator for a year still says " I just want to live".
