Welcome to the Lee's Summit Local Chapter Page!
Hello! My name is ReGina Edmondson. I am the new Chapter President for the Lee's Summit Local Chapter. I am a published writer, accomplished grant researcher and writer, ex-realtor, retired human resources director and the founder/director of Whiskers and Tails. A very small all - volunteer humane/human outreach and assistance non-profit organization.
I joined the NAPW because I was lacking networking resources and opportunities in my own area. I was hoping to find like minded, professional women who might be experiencing the same issues that I am. Women who are great at what they do and women who would be willing to share their stories of both the successes and the failures.
My goals as Chapter President include the growth of our chapter, creating facinating and unique types of networking forums, offering little known tips, ideas and resources for topics of discussion that you won't hear anywhere else.
Other goals would be to establish an active board of directors and committee chairs that will increase our chapter's capabilities and possibilities. I am actively seeking volunteers for many of these seats, if you are interested please contact me at email@example.com or 816 974-0442.
Our Next meeting will be Saturday March 22 at the HyVee Dining Room 1307 East North Ave. in Belton MO at 1 PM. Please bring enough funds to cover your meal and drink. Prices vary depending upon what you order.
"Priorities and Presentations" will offer a visual networking story by a local writer who is also a non-profit director, researcher and grant writer.
Make sure to bring your business cards for our "After Lunch Drawing". Some great prizes will be offered.
Make Sure to bring your Business cards, flyers, bios and any other kinds of marketing or advertising items or materials that will convey to members of the group what you do and what you are about as well as who you are. Our businesses, work, hobbies, interests, family and more are all a part of who we are. If it is about you and what you do - be sure to bring it.
After all, that is what this chapter is all about. Networking, socializing, making new and life long friendships as well as supporting each other and supporting the goals and dreams that we are all working so hard to meet.
Please continue to check back regularly for updates, news and so much more.
If you are not getting e-mail notices about upcoming meetings, please, send an e-mail to me directly from the e-mail address that you are currently using. You will be added to the group e-mail list. I would not want you to miss notices of upcoming meetings or any updates or important info. Stay up-to-date and receive messages about Chapter events and meetings by clicking "Join This Chapter".
